Matt is Christmas No. 1

X Factor winner Matt Cardle has topped The Big Top 40 chart with his debut single, a cover of Biffy Clyro's 'Many of Horror' ('When We Collide').

Matt's version of the single 'When We Collide', flew to the top of the iTunes live chart within hours of last Sunday's X Factor final and has remained there all week.

One song which stood a good chance of bagging the top spot was the original Biffy Clyro version of the song which ended up at No. 10 in our chart.

Elsewhere in the Big Top 40 we saw re-entries for holiday classics from The Pogues with Kirsty MacColl and Mariah Carey plus a new Christmas hit from Coldplay.
