Maroon 5 Hold Off PSY To Retain US Billboard Hot 100 Chart Lead With 'One More Night'

The 'Payphone' band are enjoying a third consecutive week at number one in America.

Maroon 5's latest single 'One More Night' has held off strong competition from K-Pop star PSY to retain the number one position on the US Billboard Hot 100 this week.

The 'Moves Like Jagger' band are enjoying their third week on the top spot of the US chart with the latest single from their 2012 album 'Overexposed', which sold an estimated 181,000 copies this week alone.

PSY's worldwide sensation 'Gangnam Style' remains strong at number two with a huge increase in both sales and airplay over the past week, while Fun.'s follow-up to 'We Are Young', their album title track 'Some Nights', is at number three.

Former Billboard chart topper 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together' is at number four this week, while the US country-pop star Taylor Swift also charts with a new entry at number seven called 'Begin Again'.

Pink is still enjoying continued chart success this week with her latest single 'Blow Me (One Last Kiss) staying strong at number five and Justin Bieber's 'As Long As You Love Me' is up to its highest chart position so far at number six.

The likes of Flo Rida, Alex Clare and Carly Rae Jepsen and Owl City round out the top ten songs in America this week.

Maroon 5 recently confirmed plans to release 'Daylight' as the album's next single, and have also been confirmed for a performance at the Grammy Awards 2013 nominations concert later this year on 5th December.
