Maroon 5's 'Payphone' Knocks Cheryl Off Vodafone Big Top 40 Top Spot

The 'Moves Like Jagger' stars go straight in at number one with their latest single release.

Maroon 5 went straight in at number one on the Vodafone Big Top 40, ending Cheryl's one-week reign at the top of the chart.

The 'Moves Like Jagger' group released their latest single 'Payphone' earlier today (17th June), and were the week's highest new entry taking this week's top spot. 

Flo Rida's dance tune 'Whistle' remains at number two this week while Cheryl's hit single 'Call My Name' falls two places to number three. 

Coldplay and Rihanna's team-up 'Princess Of China' finds itself in fourth place this week, while Stooshe's new song 'Black Heart, the follow-up to their Big Top 40 hit 'Love Me', enters the chart at number five.

Last week Cheryl was the week's highest new entry when she scored a new number one single with 'Call My Name', less than 24 hours after releasing the track as well as making a surprise appearance at the Capital FM Summertime Ball 2012 on the Saturday (9th June).

Maroon 5 last topped the Vodafone Big Top 40 back in 2011 with their worldwide smash hit single 'Moves like Jagger'.
