Maroon 5's Adam Levine Reveals He Doesn't Understand Why People Get Married

The 'Pay Phone' singer hints that he doesn't understand why people still get married in this day and age.

Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine has revealed he is unlikely to marry anytime soon after criticising the institution in a new interview.

The 'Moves Like Jagger' singer, who has had several high profile relationships over the past several years, explains that he doesn't feel marriage would be right for him personally.

"If you don't get married, you can't get divorced," Adam declares in the May issue of Nylon Guys magazine. "Why couldn't we learn from the devastatingly low percentage of successful marriages that our last generation went through?"

The 'One More Night' singer has admitted in a previous interview that he is "extremely fascinated" by marriage and has yet to work out whether it is for him or not.

Adam most recently dated Victoria's Secret model Behati Prinsloo, although the latest rumours suggest the couple have since separated.

Maroon 5 confirmed this week that they are now starting work on the follow-up to last year's 'Overexposed', fresh from recently breaking US chart records with their single 'Daylight'.
