Maroon 5's Adam Levine Joined By Glee Star Lea Michele On American Horror Story Set

The 'Payphone' singer is filming scenes for his role in Ryan Murphy's popular FX horror series.

Adam Levine has been pictured on the set of Ryan Murphy's American Horror Story alongside Glee star Lea Michele.

The actress portrays series star Rachel Berry on Murphy's sister series Glee over on Fox, but stopped by the set of American Horror Story this week for a visit and was seen spending some time with the Maroon 5 singer.

"RM Productions cross-pollination: @msleamichele, @jennaldewan and @adamlevine on the AHS set," Ryan tweeted alongside the picture. "Lea was VERY scared."

Earlier this year the Maroon 5 frontman was cast as one half of The Lovers alongside actress Jenna Dewan, although little has been revealed about his character so far.

American Horror Story proved a huge success on FX last year, and will follow a completely different storyline for its second season, with returning stars like Jessica Lange, Evan Peters and Sara Paulson all playing brand new characters.

It was announced this week that the subtitle for the second season of American Horror Story will be Asylum, and that the series will focus on a mental institution run by Jessica Lange's nun character.

During Lea Michele's visit to the set of American Horror Story, he fellow Glee star Chris Colfer was also pictured paying a visit.

'Moves Like Jagger'  singer Adam has been tweeted fans this week to update them on the show's filming progress, warning them that his scenes will be very scary.

"Shooting A.H.S. It's C.A.F. (Creepy As F**k)," Adam posted, before later adding: "Fake blood tastes like artificially sweetened vomit."

Maroon 5 star Adam Levine has also been filming scenes with co-star Keira Knightly for his separate role in new romantic comedy Can A Song Save Your Life?
