The 'Hero' singer says her husband is in "good spirits" despite his hospital stay for kidney problems.
Mariah Carey says her husband Nick Cannon is in "a lot of pain" while recovering from mild kidney failure in hospital.
The comedian and rapper was admitted to a hospital earlier this week and the 'All I Want For Christmas Is You' singer has confirmed he is expected to fully cover from the illness.
"As always, he is in good spirits considering the situation," Mariah told People. "The situation is not easy [and Nick's] in a lot of pain.
"We are hopeful that he'll be 100 percent as soon as possible," she explained. "We really appreciate everybody's love and support."
The 'America's Got Talent' host also tweeted a message himself reassuring fans he will be fine.
"Currently being transferred to a hospital in LA," Nick tweeted yesterday (4th January). "Thank you all for all you love, prayers and concern. You know me… I will be a'ight."
The couple, who have been married since 2008, welcomed their first children, twins Moroccan and Monroe, in April last year.
