The 'Sexy And I Know It' duo claim their hit single got them noticed.

LMFAO have revealed that their smash hit 'Party Rock Anthem' helped more people pay an interest in dance music.

The video for the song has achieved over 314 million YouTube views and singer Redfoo has admitted he was glad to be beamed into so many homes.

Speaking to MTV News, he explained: "I think it just brought us into the households via the video, and it just got everybody more into dance music, because now they can shuffle, and so it was just a big thing."

The single recently topped the UK iTunes chart for top selling song of 2011 and the 'Champagne Showers' singer believes the song's success has forced critics to notice them.

Redfoo added: "I think for some of the critics, being number one for six weeks in a row on the Billboard, people said, 'Now this is a real thing'."

Meanwhile, LMFAO recently revealed that they would love to work with Lady Gaga explaining that it "could be amazing."
