The duo's track gets the nod for its feature in the Jonah Hill comedy 21 Jump Street.

LMFAO have been nominated for a MTV Movie Award 2012 for their smash hit single 'Party Rock Anthem'.

The shortlist of nominees was revealed last night (30th April) and sees Redfoo and SkyBlu going up against the likes of the Chemical Brothers and Kid Cudi for the Best Music prize.

The song featured in the Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum comedy 21 Jump Street and Drive soundtrack 'A Real Hero' by College With Electric Youth and Figurine make up the rest of the nominations.

Actors Ryan Gosling, Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Stone will also be going up for some of the top awards on the night which takes place at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California on the 3rd June.

Meanwhile, LMFAO recently spoke out on their plans to possibly release a full length feature of their own in the future and said it might be "too much for the world to handle".
