The 'Smile' star will officially by known by her married name revealing she is heading back into the studio.

Lily Allen has revealed that she will be professionally known by her married surname, Lily Rose Cooper from now on.

The 'Shame For You' singer wed Sam Cooper last June and the couple welcomed their first child in November 2011.

In a statement released from the singer, she confirmed the change of her name and admitted she was "excited" to be heading back in the studio to work on her new album.

"It's great to work at my own pace, with no commitments other than to make music," she revealed. "I'm excited to be heading back into the studio."

In June, she confessed that she was working on new material again via a post on her Twitter account and is also expecting her second child.

The news was confirmed by her father Keith during an appearance on the ITV show This Morning.

The British star is also set to appear on Pink's new album 'The Truth About Love' and made her return to the stage alongside Professor Green at The Stone Roses' comeback show in Manchester's Heaton Park two months ago.

The new album, which has no planned release date as of yet, will follow on from 2009's 'It's Not Me, It's You'.
