Lily Allen has cancelled her Jingle Bell Ball appearance due to illness

Lily has been forced to cancel her appearance at the Jingle Bell Ball on Saturday.

Following the success of her second album Its Not Me, Its You, Lily Allen was at the top of our list of artists we were looking forward to see playing at the Jingle Bell Ball this year. Unfortunately she has been forced to cancel her appearance due to illness. She told us:

"I've been battling a throat problem on tour for weeks now, but it has finally got the better of me. Ive done my best at not cancelling any shows as I dont want to disappoint my fans, but on doctors orders I have to totally rest my voice for five days, meaning that I cannot do the Jingle Bell Ball.  I'm so sorry for all the Capital listeners looking forward to seeing me at the event, but I'm struggling to talk, let alone sing.  I really appreciate the support that my fans and Capital have given me, and I hope to see you all very soon."

We know a lot of you will be disappointed, but we're all hoping Lily makes a swift recovery and we can look forward to seeing her soon. In the meantime, take a look at some of her finest moment in our photo gallery and watch her video for 'Who'd Have Known'.
