Leona Lewis Raps On New Album: "I Could Go Up Against Nicki Minaj"

The singer says new album 'Glassheart' will also include a new song written by Emeli Sande.

Leona Lewis has revealed that she has taken up rapping for her new album 'Glassheart'.

The former The X Factor winner's new album is due to be released on 15th October following a series of delays.

In a live webchat with fans, Leona joked that her new rap skills could rival Nicki Minaj.

"On my new album I will be rapping. I've really discovered my voice for rapping," she said.

''I could probably go up against Nicki Minaj now. I'm actually that good, so I'm coming for you Nicki!" she added. "London-style MCing.''

Leona's new album is thought to be more dance-influenced that her previous releases. The LP includes one song, 'Trouble', which has been written by Emeli Sande.
