The four-piece band have promised fans it's "only just the beginning" after releasing their first single.
Lawson have described the past few years as the "most amazing journey" and thanked their fans, families and team for supporting them ahead of the launch of their debut single today (27th May(.
The four-piece band release their brand new single 'When She Was Mine' for download today, and took to Twitter last night ahead of the single launch to issue a thanks to everyone who has helped them get where they are today.
"What an emotional roller coaster the last 5 years have been," singer Andy Brown tweeted last night "I recovered from a life threatening illness… then met the 3 most amazing talented guys ever, toured the country, played awful gigs, no one interested in the band, with the support of my family, mum, dad and bro have stood by me from day 1.
"Thanks so much to everyone involved, and no matter where we chart, I just want to thank everyone for supporting and believing in us, and the unbelievable team we have," Andy continued. "Now let's make "When She Was Mine' a smash hit!!! Xxx."
Drummer Adam Pitts admitted he had been "dreaming of this moment" for a a long time, and also said he cannot wait to start the next chapter of Lawson alongside the band's fans.
"Its been the longest most amazing journey ever playing and gigging since I was about 10 years old, and it's only just the beginning," bassist Ryan Fletcher posted. "This is basically just me thanking my family for all the unconditional support & help with no guarantee of any return or success. None of this could be done without our families love and support over the years x."
Guitarist Joel Peat added: "Love all the fans coming together!! You guys are awesome, what a journey!"
Lawson are due to perform an exclusive live session on Capitalfm.com this Tuesday 29th May from 5pm, and have also just been confirmed for the line-up of this year's Capital FM Summertime Ball at Wembley Stadium on 9th June.
