The 'Learn To Love Again' songwriter has submitted songs to the two boy bands for their next records.
Lawson's Andy Brown has revealed he has penned songs for both Union J and One Direction in recent months.
The 'When She Was Mine' singer-songwriter says he is still waiting to hear whether the song he wrote will be included on One Direction's upcoming third studio album.
"I've been writing for Union J and I've given music to One Direction," Andy told the Daily Star this week. "I sent a song to the Swedish guys who produced 'What Makes You Beautiful' so I have to wait and see if it makes the album."
Union J are currently prepping their debut album after the success of first single 'Carry You' while One Direction's third record is expected out by the year.

Lawson returned with new single 'Brokenhearted' this past weekend, which Andy promises is the first of many new songs to come from Lawson this year, as well as teasing a more Justin Timberlake style of sound for their music.
"It's one of eight new songs for a repackaging of 'Chapman Square'," Andy revealed. "A lot of the other ones are more like Justin Timberlake. It's a very current sound for us.
"You have to craft your sounds as your career moves on," he added. "These are the best songs we've written."
July has already seen Lawson stripping off to pose naked in the August issue of Cosmopolitan to raise money for awareness of male cancer.
Lawson head over to the US in August for a tour of America before kicking off their 'Everywhere We Go' tour in the UK this autumn.
