'When She Was Mine' singer Andy says Max has given them all good advice about coping with fame.
Lawson star Andy Brown says The Wanted's Max George has been good at giving the band advice following the release of their first single.
The four-piece band launched their debut single 'When She Was Mine' last month, as well as performing up and down the country over the past week weeks, and Andy says his friendship with 'Chasing The Sun' singer Max has been really helpful.
"Max and I are good mates as we've loads in common," Andy told the Daily Star this week. "We're Northern lads mad on football.
"I've learned a lot about how to handle fame from Max," the singer explained. "When we were first down the pub after The Wanted got huge, Max got mobbed.
"In the space of a year, to see that difference in your mate being able to have a quiet pint to being surrounded, it was just total madness!" Andy added.
Andy, Adam, Ryan and Joel wrapped their first UK headline tour last week with a performance at the Temple Institute in Birmingham, and promised fans they would be back on the road again soon.
Both Lawson and The Wanted are due to perform this Saturday (9th June) at Wembley Stadium for the Capital FM Summertime Ball 2012.
