Singer Andy Brown admits to Capital FM that he wrote the track following his break-up from the girl group star.
Lawson front man Andy Brown has revealed that the band's debut single 'When She Was Mine' is about The Saturdays star Mollie King.
The singer told Capital FM that the song was created following his break-up from the blonde star and he wrote a few tracks during that time.
"Yeh, it is about Mollie," he confessed. "She's my ex and we split up and I wrote quite a few songs about it and 'When She Was Mine' was one of them.
"But she knows and she's cool and she loves the song and we love The Sats so," Andy continued.
Mollie has already taken to Twitter to admit how much she loved the track and praised the four-piece.
Meanwhile, the band are currently on their sold out UK tour and recently unveiled two new remixes of their single which will coincide with the full release.
