The 'Taking Over Me' four-piece were watched from the side of the stage by US star Taylor Swift.
Lawson covered the worldwide pop hits 'Call Me Maybe', 'Moves Like Jagger' and 'Teenage Dream' today (8th December) to get the O2 Arena audience up on their feet at the Capital FM Jingle Bell Ball 2012.
The 'Learn To Love Again' four-piece made their Jingle Bell Ball debut at day one of this year's Capital FM event, and covered hits by the likes of Katy Perry, Maroon 5 and Carly Rae Jepsen as a surprise during their set.
Lawson opened their performance with their summer anthem 'Taking Over Me', which got the sold-out stadium singing along straight away, before performing 'Call Me Maybe' as a surprise cover during the middle eight section of the song.
Singer Andy Brown then broke into a brief chorus from both 'Teenage Dream' before the four-piece performed their debut single 'When She Was Mine'.
US singer-songwriter Taylor Swift was also spotted watching Lawson's Jingle Bell Ball set from the side of the stage, after flying into the UK earlier today with Harry Styles to support One Direction at tonight's show.
"This is a very special moment," Andy told the crowd after their performance. "Thanks to everyone who went out and brought [our album]."
Andy, Joel, Ryan and Adam then performed another surprise cover when Andy headed out to the front of the stage to show off his moves with a cover of the Maroon 5 hit 'Moves Like Jagger'.
"We just want to thank Capital for putting this whole thing on!" bassist Ryan Fletcher said as the band performed their final song of the night, Lawson's most recent hit single 'Standing In The Dark'.
"When we wrote [this song] we never ever thought we'd get the opportunity to play it here at the O2 Arena," Andy added. "This one's for every single one of you in this room."
