The 'Taking Over Me' stars tell Capital the country star revealed she's a big fan and said they could be huge in America.
Lawson guitarist Joel Peat has confessed that he thinks Taylor Swift is the "most beautiful woman" he's ever seen after bumping into the country star backstage at the Jingle Bell Ball 2012.
The 'When She Was Mine' star spoke to Capital shortly after arriving off stage at London's O2 Arena and revealed all about his meeting with the 'Love Story' singer.
"That was the weirdest part of tonight. We came off and saw the 1D boys and they went 'you absolutely caned it' and then Taylor was walking behind and said 'Hi guys, I'm Taylor' and I was like 'We know who you are, I'm Joel'," he confessed.
He also went on to explain that Taylor told them she was a big fan and thinks they will go down really well in the US.
"She was like 'I'm a huge fan of your band'. She was like 'I think it's so legit you know you write your own songs' and she'd watched all the VEVO videos and how we did the album," he explained. "She said 'Standing In The Dark' would do really well in America and we'd be insane not to release that soon."
Joel continued: "What a legend, she's a massive inspiration for us – we love all her albums and it's amazing that she's heard of us. So I've had a funny night."
The guitarist conclouded: "She's the most beautiful woman I've ever seen, she's incredible. He's [Harry Styles] a lucky guy."
