In these early stages Gaga was apparently seen putting the final touches to the stage less than an hour before showtime.

When the second leg of the 'Monster Ball' tour crossed the globe at the turn of 2010 it was heavily revamped. The biggest change was the introduction of a storyline set in New York where Gaga and her friends lost their way in several scenarios as they tried to reach the 'Monster Ball'. Costume changes got weirder and even more extravagant with the 'Bad Romance' singer making five changes throughout her set.
The singer was picking up celebrity fans by the bucketload at the turn of 2010. Lady Gaga shocked everyone last September when she turned up at the MTV Video Music Awards in a 'raw meat' outfit. Animal rights campaigners were outraged but the singer hit back saying she wore it in protest at the way the US army treats gay soldiers. Gaga claimed eight awards that night including Best Collaboration with Beyonce for 'Telephone'.
Following her meat dress antics, the singer turned her protest political as she took to the stands to make a special speech during the Servicemembers Legal Defense Network Grassroots Rally in Portland. She spoke for 20 minutes calling the army's 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell' policy, which prevents personnel from revealing their sexuality, "unjust" and "wrong".

I got to sit in as a guest musician tonight, what a legendary band + mother, Yoko.'
After clocking up over 89,000 air miles across 159 shows throughout 2010, Gaga's accolades continued to mount. She was voted number seven on the list of hardest working music acts of the year.

The eccentric star was the talk of the 53rd annual Grammy Awards earlier this year when she made an extravagant entrance on the red carpet inside a giant egg. She was later seen emerging from the egg for a spectacular stage performance of her chart topping hit single 'Born This Way'.

When 'Born This Way' hit Malaysia, the song was censored. Outspoken as always, she urged fans to 'protest peacefully' at the decision and demanded that radio stations play the full version.
