Lady Gaga And Up For Best Song At 2012 Oscars

The 'Marry The Night' singer and Black Eyed Peas star are among the names shortlisted for the nomination process at next year's 84th Academy Awards ceremony.

Lady Gaga's duet with Elton John is one of 39 songs shortlisted for a potential nomination at the 2012 Oscars ceremony.

The 'Born This Way' singer collaborated with Elton on a track called 'Hello Hello' from the animation feature 'Gnomeo and Juliet'. also makes the list with 'Hot Wings (I Wanna Party)' taken from the 3D film 'Rio'.

Other notable inclusions in the list are Robbie Williams' duet with American country star Brad Paisley on 'Collision Of Worlds' for the Pixar animation 'Cars 2'.

Only five songs from the list can be put through to be nominated for an award at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood and voting begins on 5th January, with the final five being announced on the 24th January.

Previous winners of the award include Eminem, Bruce Springsteen and Bon Jovi.

The 84th Academy Awards take place in Hollywood on the 26th February and the night will be hosted by actor and comedian Billy Crystal.

Lady Gaga also recently made the list for the top searched for person in 2011 on Google's end of year round-up.
