The 'You & I' star performed a number of hits live for the staff of Barack Obama this week.

Lady Gaga performed at the White House Staff Ball last night to celebrate US President Barack Obama's re-election to a second term in office.

The 'Marry The Night' singer took to the stage at the Washington Convention Center on Tuesday (22nd January) in an eye-catching white Versace dress to perform several of her hits.

Gaga sang a reworked version of her hit 'You & I' in front of a grand piano while congratulating thousands of Obama's staff on their second election victory, before being joined on stage by jazz legend Tony Bennett.

Barack Obama's inauguration ceremony took place this past Monday (21st January) and saw performances from Kelly Clarkson and Beyonce, the latter of whom has faced a storm of criticism in the wake of allegations she mimed her performance of the US National Anthem.

This week the singer's producer Zedd confirmed her new album 'ARTPOP' is still being worked on and that the two plan to get back into the recording studio next month.

Lady Gaga will continue her 'Born This Way Ball' tour this evening (23rd January) when she plays the US Airways Center in Phoenix, Arizona.
