Lady Gaga Hails Rihanna's "Lovely" Performance At MTV Video Music Awards 2012 - Video

The 'You & I' star also congratulated Rihanna on picking up Video Of The Year for 'We Found Love'.

Lady Gaga has praised Rihanna's performance at the MTV Video Music Awards 2012 (VMAs) last night in Los Angeles, and says the entire show yesterday was "awesome".

The 'Marry The Night' singer was not present at the annual awards show because she is currently in Europe on her 'Born This Way Ball' world tour, but tweeted several comments about the winners and performances over the course of Thursday evening (6th September).

"What a lovely performance by @Rihanna!" Gaga tweeted yesterday, after watching the Bajan star perform "We Found Love' and a remix of her song 'Cockiness'. "I feel like I'm sixteen again watching the VMAs, and then I remember I get to do this too. #socrazy.

The 'You & I' singer also praised Frank Ocean's performance, saying the R&B singer was able to "steal this whole show", as well as praising rock band Green Day, before congratulating Rihanna on winning Video Of The Year for 'We Found Love'.

She posted: "What a lovely night, we found love 4 the win! Was all sorts of awesome watching this at home like I did when I was a kid."

The 'Born This Way' star performed two shows in Cologne, Germany this week as part of her world tour, before she heads back to the UK today ready for two shows in London this weekend.
