Lady Gaga: pyrotechnics banned

Lady Gaga was banned from using pyrotechnics onstage.

The singer wasn't allowed to set her piano on fire during her set at Madison Square Gardens on Monday night.

She was banned from doing so by New York's fire service.

Aceshowbiz reports that the singer told the crow she wouldn't be able to carry out the stunt and instead dedicated the song 'You and I' to firefighters and victims on 9/11.

'I was here on 9/11 in high school so God bless the fire department. I'm usually a jackass when they tell me I can't set the piano on fire.

'So this is me being a nerd to the town I love.'
