Lady Gaga "Proud" After Winning Outstanding Music Artist At GLAAD Media Awards 2012

The 'Bad Romance' singer has revealed she is feeling thankful for the prize after being recognised for her gay rights work.

Lady Gaga has confessed she is felling "proud" after winning the Outstanding Music Artist Award for her album 'Born This Way' at the GLAAD Media Awards 2012 on Saturday night (24th March).

The star was honoured for her continuous campaigning work for gay rights and took to her Twitter account this morning (26th march) to thank the organization for her prize.

She tweeted: "I'm so proud to win 'Outstanding Artist' for Born This Way album at GLAAD Media Awards. Thank you so much to your organization."

The event was held at New York City and is the first of three ceremonies held by the group.

Meanwhile, the star is busy preparing for her upcoming 'Born This Way Ball' world tour and recently admitted her "ass was kicked from dancing" during rehearsals for the jaunt.
