Lady Gaga Thanks Fans Following Huge Success Of 'Born This Way'

The 'Marry The Night' singer is relaxing in Japan and feels "grateful" for the support her third studio album has received.

Lady Gaga has revealed she is feeling very "grateful" following the huge success of her second studio album 'Born This Way'.

The 'You & I' star is currently in Japan enjoying a festive break and took a moment to offer a few words of appreciation to her followers on Twitter.

"Sipping tea in Japan with Haus. Feeling so grateful. We sold about 1 million albums a month worldwide since the release of BORN THIS WAY," she tweeted earlier today (21st December).

Gaga arrived in Tokyo yesterday amid the controversy that her Twitter account was hacked into and was greeted by hundreds of fans at Japan's Narita International Airport.

It was also revealed yesterday that the singer and Elton John's duet 'Hello Hello' from the animation feature Gnomeo and Juliet was shortlisted for the best song category nomination process at next year's Academy Awards.

The 'Edge Of Glory' star also posted a message about how excited she was to hear the news.

"Just heard my duet "Hello, Hello" with Elton is up for nomination at the Oscars! Gnomeo & Juliet is such a beautiful film. I'm so happy!!," she tweeted.
