Lady Gaga And Beyonce Reach Top Five In Forbes' Celebrity 100 List

Coldplay also chart as the highest ranking British act on the annual countdown of stardom.

Lady Gaga and Beyonce are among the big names at the top of Forbes' annual Celebrity 100 ranking of the most powerful celebrities in the world.

The 'Marry The Night' singer was named the second most powerful just behind US chat show host Oprah Winfrey, while 'Love On Top' singer Beyonce found herself at number four.

Madonna, Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift also found themselves in the top ten list, which is published annually by the magazine and measures money, fame and social networking strength to give a ranking of the top 100 stars.

British band Coldplay are the highest ranking UK act at number 14, while 'Someone Like You' star Adele has notably dropped out of the list entirely after a successful showing in 2012.
