The 'Earthquake' star is hopeful he can secure a BRITs nomination later today.

Labrinth has said he wants to follow in the footsteps of Tinie Tempah and score a nomination for this year's BRIT Awards.

The 'Earthquake' star attended last year's event with Tinie after he scooped British Single for 'Pass Out'.

Speaking to Capital FM, Labrinth said he was hopeful that he could mirror Tinie's success when the nominations are unveiled later today (12th January).

"That would be off the Richter scale," he said. "Seeing the success that Tinie had, it would be lovely to have the same with my own record."

Labrinth is due to release his debut album 'Electric Earth' later this spring.

Keep it Capital to find out all the nominations when they are revealed at 6pm tonight.

The ceremony for this year's BRIT Awards will take place at London's O2 Arena on 21st February.
