Glee creators blast Kings of Leon

27 January 2011, 10:52

The rift seems to be growing ever-wider between Glee producers and Kings of Leon after Glee creator Ryan Murphy fired a verbal attack at the US band, following their refusal to allow one of their songs to feature on the hit show.

Glee creator Murphy told the Hollywood reporter: "F*** you, Kings Of Leon. They are self-centred assholes and they missed the big picture."

Kings of Leon's lead singer Caleb Followill sheepishly replied by stating: "This whole Glee thing is a shock to us. It's gotten out of hand. At the time of the request, we hadn't even seen the show. It came at the end of that record cycle, and we were over promoting (‘Use Somebody’). This was never meant as a slap in the face to Glee."

The moral of the story? Don't mess with Glee. Actually we wouldn't mess with Kings of Leon either!
