The 'Mr. Know It All' singer says she never spoke about having the disorder or saying "no one should be as famous as me".

Kelly Clarkson has taken to Twitter to hit out at reports she ever suffered from anorexia.

The 'Since U Been Gone' singer attacked the Daily Mirror's Sunday Celebs edition magazine after they quoted her as admitting to having the eating disorder and printed the headline "no one should be as famous as me."

In a lengthy post on her social networking account, she wrote: "Um ....wow, so a UK Magazine called the Mirror, Sunday Celebs edition, just put out an article on me and just to clear up the absolutely wrong so called quotes from me, I have never had anorexia nor did I ever say "no one should be as famous as me".

"I said in the interview, when asked about fame, that I have no desire to be as famous as Britney or Madonna.

"I said that kind of fame was too much for any person and that I have experienced a portion of what they deal with and that I didn't handle that well and I'm happy where I'm at in my career.

She added: "Side note, I love when people take what you say and twist it to make you sound obnoxious and arrogant ....nice job Mirror."

Kelly also recently spoke about how she finds it difficult to hear herself singing on some of her older songs as they used "so much autotune".

Meanwhile, the singer recently unveiled the official video for new song 'Catch My Breath' – which is taken from her 'Greatest Hits…So Far' collection.
