Katy Perry Unveils 'Wide Awake' Music Video Teaser

The 'Part Of Me' star has unveiled a clip to the forthcoming promo to her latest single.

Katy Perry has unveiled a teaser clip to the official music video to her new single 'Wide Awake'.

The 'Firework' star's promo sees a young girl flicking through pages of an old book – with each page depicting a chapter in the American star's life through her previous music videos from her 'Teenage Dream' album.

After the footage reaches the name of her new song it reads 'The Final Chapter' and proceeds to play clips of a variety of scenes which will feature in the new video.

The singer can be seen eating a poisoned strawberry and meeting a Prince Charming who has his fingers crossed.

Katy also performed the track during her appearance at Capital FM's Summertime Ball 2012 in a set of some of her biggest hits including 'Part Of Me' and 'Hot N Cold'.

The track was created for her upcoming 3D concert movie Part Of Me and was taken from the repacked version of her second studio album.

The film is expected to reveal all on her marriage breakdown to comedian Russell Brand and offer fans a "best friend" perspective on her life.

The official video will be released on 19^th June.
