The 'E.T' singer and the comedian have reportedly been attempting to be as amicable as possible during proceedings.
Katy Perry and Russell Brand are reportedly attempting to make divorce proceedings as amicable as possible.
According to gossip website TMZ, the pair did not sign a prenuptial agreement before their marriage, but will not argue over monetary matters.
The site reports that Russell's lawyer filed the final papers yesterday (7th February)which will make the divorce official on June 30th because of a six month waiting period.
A source told the site: "This divorce is as amicable as it gets. He [Russell] doesn't want Katy's money. He's happy to walk away with the money he earned - which is far less than what Katy raked in."
The pair called an end to their marriage at the end of 2011 following 14 months together.
Neither Katy or Russell is yet to divulge details of the marriage breakdown and Katy was recently rumoured to have removed reporters from the red carpet at a Super Bowl pre-game party to avoid questions.
Meanwhile, the 'I Kissed A Girl' singer will make her live US TV return at this weekend's Grammy Awards event.
