The 'Teenage Dream' singer says her third studio album is almost ready to be released.

Katy Perry has promised fans her brand new album will be finally unveiled "soon".

The 'Firework' singer has been steadily working on the follow-up to her 2010 second album 'Teenage Dream', and opened up about the recording process on a recent Jay Leno appearance.

"I had a lot of time to reflect and I think that will continually be what I always do," Katy revealed to the US chat show host, while talking about her songwriting process. "Connecting to my core and trying to bring an honest message that people can relate to.

The 'Part Of Me' star also opened up about her recent cover shoot for the July issue of Vogue US, revealing that she gave up a lot of vices in preparation for the high profile photo shoot.

"I did a lot of my own prepping," she explained. "I kind of went on a cleanse, I did a lot of stuff like vitamins and supplements, I changed my coffee to green tea, I didn't drink alcohol for three months.

"I was really in the zone, I just wanted to be glowing for that cover," Katy added.
