The 'Part Of Me' singer and 'Earthquake' star both have new releases that could top the chart this weekend.

Gotye faces strong competition from Katy Perry and Labrinth this weekend on the Vodafone Big Top 40 with both releasing brand new singles.

The Belgian-Australian singer-songwriter scored his fifth week at the top of the chart on Sunday (11th March) with 'Somebody That I Used To Know', however the release of Katy Perry's new single 'Part Of Me' would end Gotye's reign at number one.

The singer is set to return to the charts this weekend to support the release of her album repackage 'Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection'.

Labrinth is also preparing to launch his new single 'Last Time' on Sunday, and will be looking to score a strong chart position ahead of launching his debut solo album 'Electronic Earth' later this month.

Nicki Minaj's latest hit 'Starships' is also still in the running to top the chart this weekend, while Alexandra Burke's 'Elephant' was the highest new entry of the week last Sunday.

The Vodafone Big Top 40 airs each and every Sunday with Rich and Kat from 4 until 7pm.
