The 'Teenage Dream' star is being targeted in an apparent £2 million deal.

Katy Perry is in talks to release her own autobiography and may receive £2 million for penning her memoirs, according to reports.

Three book publishers are understood to be in a bidding war to secure the rights to Katy's story following her recent split from husband Russell Brand.

Both Katy and Russell have so far refused to discuss their separation, which was announced in December.

A source told The Sun: "When everything was going well, Katy couldn't stop talking about him. Since the split neither of them have said anything – keeping the price of a deal high."

Meanwhile, Katy is currently preparing for the release of an updated version of her second album 'Teenage Dream'.

The album will be released later this month and features an additional three new tracks, including current single 'Part Of Me'.
