Katy B Inspired By Fellow Mercury Prize Nominee Adele

Katy says she looked up to Adele while they were at The BRIT School.

Adele may be the favourite for winning this year's Mercury Prize but fellow nominee Katy B isn't bitter, in fact she's chuffed for her.

"Adele and PJ Harvey are top of the bookies list which is great because apparently only two women have ever won it," Katy told Capital's showbiz reporter Kevin Hughes.

"I'm definitely rooting for them."

Katy and Adele both studied at the infamous BRIT School and the 'On A Mission' singer says even back then Adele was destined for fame.

"She was just as amazing then as she is now so she deserves everything that she's got," Katy said. "I looked up to her definitely."
