Everyone remembers the cringe-worthy moment when Kanye West interrupted Taylor Swift as she collected the award for Best Female Video at the 2009 VMAs. Even Bey didn't look happy!
During his latest interview with New York Times, the rapper said it was down to peer pressure why he apologised to Taylor after the incident and said he has no regrets about the interruption.
In 2006, Kanye received five nominations at the MTV Music Video Awards but went home empty handed. Backstage, he ranted that he vowed to boycott the awards, saying; "That's two years in a row…Give a black man a chance!". But his boycott didn't last too long, he turned up at the awards two years later.
In case you were unsure whether Kanye had a legitimate Twitter account, in 2009 the 'Gold Digger' singer took to his blog to clear things up, writing; "I DON'T HAVE A F*****G TWITTER" adding, "HEY TWITTER, TAKE THE SO CALLED KANYE WEST TWITTER DOWN NOW ... WHY? ... BECAUSE MY CAPS LOCK KEY IS LOUD!!!!!!!!!". However, Kanye has since joined the social networking website.
During a live TV fundraiser for the victims of hurricane Katrina, Kanye ditched the lines prepared for him and went on a political rant making the bold claim that "George Bush doesn't care about black people" - needless to say the producers quickly cut him off.
After Kanye hit the stage two hours late at a Tennessee music festival, fellow musician Robert Randolph led the audience in a 'Kanye sucks' chant. Unfortunately, Kanye's anger at the situation was taken out on an innocent laptop. He wrote on his blog; "I'm typing so f*****g hard I might break my f*****g Mac book Air!!!!!!!!...WE WERE OBVIOUSLY DEALING WITH F*****G IDIOTS WHO DIDN'T REALLY HAVE THE CAPACITY TO REALLY PUT ON THIS SHOW PROPERLY. THEY TRIED 2 GIVE ME A TIME SLOT WHERE IT WAS STILL LIGHT OUTSIDE ... I HAVE A F******G LIGHT SHOW DUMB A**, IT'S NOT CALLED GLOW IN THE DARK FOR NO REASON SQUID BRAINS!"

Kanye's never been one to take criticism well, so when a US reporter awarded his Glow In The Dark tour a B+, Kanye once again used his blog to responsd. He wrote: "What's a B+ mean? I’m an extremist, its either pass or fail! A+ or F-! You know what, f**k you and the whole f*****g staff!"
At the 2005 Grammys, Kanye finally won an award when 'College Dropout' was named Best Rap Album. Everyone was free from fear of another gate-crashed stage, but Kanye admitted if the night didn't go in his favour he would have acted up, claiming in his speech: "A lot of people were wondering what I was going to do if I didn't win anything ... I guess we'll never know."
The MTV EMA's stage is like a home away from home for Kanye, in 2006 he once again grabbed the mic when he wasn't satisfied with the chosen award winners. This time, he believed his 'Touch the Sky' video should have won because it “cost a million dollars and Pamela Anderson was in it."
Kanye showed his unique take on modesty when he famously revealed what the biggest regret in his life was: "My greatest pain in life is that I will never be able to see myself perform live.”
In his most recent on-stage rant, Kanye told the crowd in his Paris show: "I am Picasso. I am Michelangelo. I am Basquiat. I am Walt Disney. I am Steve Jobs" - modest then Kanye?
