The 'As Long As You Love Me' star is confirmed for the role following a teasing Twitter post earlier this week.

Justin Bieber will make his hosting debut on Saturday Night Live next month, it has been confirmed.

The 'Boyfriend' singer posted a teasing Tweet ahead of the announcement earlier this week on his Twitter account.

He wrote: "maybe im hosting and performing on SNL...maybe. :)."

The teen star has previously appeared on the show back in 2010 when he performed 'U Smile' and serenaded Tine Fey during a sketch.

The appearance on the comedy sketch series will come shortly after Justin's acoustic album is released on 29th January.

Meanwhile, Maroon 5's Adam Levine was also recently confirmed to be appearing as host of the show later this month.

Other musicians who have also taken the reigns as host of the show in the past include Justin Timberlake, Bruno Mars and Christina Aguilera.
