Justin Bieber Brings Mum To American Music Awards 2012 After Selena Gomez Break-Up

The 'Boyfriend' star avoided any questions concerning his love life as he hit the red carpet with mum Pattie.

Justin Bieber avoided any further questioning over his relationship with Selena Gomez when he arrived at the American Music Awards 2012 with his mum.

The 'Baby' singer is rumoured to have split up with the Disney actress earlier this month and it was said she avoided the ceremony in order to escape any confrontations with the teen star.

The Canadian singer was all smiles as he hit the red carpet with mum Pattie Mallette and puckered up to give her a big kiss on the cheek in front of the photographers.

Justin enjoyed a fantastic night at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles when he picked up three awards on the night – including Artist Of The Year.

He also took to the stage for a live performance of his song 'As Long As You Love Me' and was joined by Nicki Minaj for a rendition of 'Beauty And A Beat'.

Despite reports of Justin and Selena's split, it was also rumoured that she turned up in secret to last night's (18^th November) awards in secret with insiders claiming the pair left hand-in-hand together.

The couple also apparently shared a dinner date at the weekend – with the actress storming off after ten minutes.
