Justin Bieber's Fans Attempt To Break World Record As 18th Birthday Present

The 'Live Your Live' star has thanked fans for their attempt to set a new world record on his birthday.

Justin Bieber's fans across the world have united today (1st March) to try and break a Guinness World Record in honour of the 'Baby' singer's 18th Birthday.

The 'Never Say Never' star celebrates turning 18 today and his 'Beliebers' have organized a campaign to break the record to the most social media messages sent in a 24 hour period.

Fans have set up a dedicated website urging other Justin fans to retweet the message, "Setting a world record for @justinbieber! #leggo", over the course of today.

"THIS IS AMAZING> the things my fans do. THANK U. A record? Leggo 4 it. SWAG!!" Justin tweeted this afternoon after being notified of the campaign. 

The website's counter is currently at 152,323 messages sent so far today, with over 13 hours left to reach the target of 209,771 to get a brand new world record.

Justin Bieber has 18 million followers on Twitter, as well as over 40 million likes on Facebook.

Earlier today Justin Bieber also announced that his brand new single 'Boyfriend' will be released on 26th March.
