The 'One Shot' singer is apparently hoping to develop on his drama school qualifications.

JLS singer Marvin Humes is rumored to be making a dive into the acting world as he eyes up a role in a crime drama.

The 'Do You Feel What I Feel' singer is apparently looking at avenues away from the band as he looks to occupy his time away from the group.

"Marvin knows he can't be in a boyband full-time forever and is planning for life after the band," a source told The Sun. "He went to drama school as a youngster so he's had some decent grounding."

The singer is hoping to land a part in a "credible" show which will give him the opportunity to seek further work in the future, according to the publication.

"Crime dramas are his thing and he's hoping that landing a part in a credible show will give him the platform to launch a career in acting," added the insider.

Meanwhile, Marvin is also preparing to become a father for the first time after he and wife Rochelle announced they are expecting their first child next year.

He will also hit the road at the end of 2013 with JLS for a new arena tour across the UK.

JLS also recently performed at the Capital FM Jingle Bell Ball 2012, opening the event on day one.
