JLS and Little Mix both took part in Capital's music quiz of 2012 this evening backstage at the Jingle Bell Ball from London's O2 Arena.
The 'She Makes Me Wanna' four piece and 'Wings' singers Little Mix faced off in a battle of pop culture knowledge today (8th December), fresh from performing live for day one of Capital's huge music event.
Little Mix kicked off proceedings by correctly answering that their former X Factor mentor Tulisa is the pop star 6% of school children believe invented penicillin, while JLS are also seen winning several points thanks to band member Marvin Humes' fast reactions on the buzzer.
The X Factor 2011 winners Little Mix made their debut at the Jingle Bell ball earlier today when they performed their biggest hits to date along with a cover of Nicki Minaj's 'Super Bass'.
JLS also performed tonight, making their return to the Ball, and sang several of their most popular songs including 'She Makes Me Wanna', 'Eyes Wide Shut' and their latest single 'Hottest Girl In The World'.
