The 'Domino' star speaks about leaving the hit music reality show earlier this month.

Jessie J has opened up on her decision to leave The Voice UK and said she needed to get back to the core of who she is.

The 'Domino' star left her position on the series earlier this month as she looked to focus on her new music.

"They send the schedule through and, for 40 of the 42 days they need me for filming, I was on tour," she told the Septemner edition of Marie Claire magazine. "I had to think about what I was prioritising – my music or The Voice?"

She added: "'I wouldn't be on that show if it wasn't for the music. I have to get back to the core of who I am."

Shortly after Jessie announced she was quitting the show, fellow coach Danny O'Donoghue also departed as he looks to focus on music with his band The Script.

Olly Murs spoke to Capital earlier today about rumours linking him with a position on the show.

The Essex lad said he was "honoured" but thinks his affiliation with The X Factor could cause some problems if an offer ever came through.
