Jessie J Names VH1 Divas Concert As Career Highlight

The 'Who You Are' singer has revealed one of her personal highlights of 2011.

Jessie J has named performing at VH1's Divas Celebrate Soul event in New York City last year as one of her personal highlights of the past twelve months.

The 'Dominio' singer says it was particularly special for her because was able gotto sing alongside industry veterans like Wanda Jackson and Mary J Blige as well as newer artist like Florence Welch and Kelly Clarkson.

"There has been so many. But VH1 Divas was special," Jessie tweeted in response to a fan question. "An honour to be on stage with so many of the singers I have grown up listening to. Was defo one for the diary."

"My highlight was being able to have the year I've been waiting for," she explained. "For the world to hear my music."

Jessie added: "The whole year was a #highlight."

The singer recently confirmed she is now back in the recording studio working on the follow-up to her 2011 debut album 'Who You Are'.

Jessie J will serve as one of the four vocal coaches of new BBC1 reality series The Voice in March alongside Danny O-Donoghue, Tom Jones and will.i.am.
