The 'It Girl' singer also speaks about when he and the R&B star may get married.

Jason Derulo has revealed that his new song 'The Other Side' is partially a tribute to his pop star girlfriend Jordin Sparks.

The 'Don't Wanna Go Home' singer says he picked the song as the lead single from his new album because it's "perfect" for the upcoming summer.

"The Other Side was perfect for summertime, plus it mentions fourth of July and that's coming up," Jason revealed to the Daily Star this week. "It was on purpose I used the line 'sparks fly' referring to Jordin."

The R&B superstar also opened up about a new song on his album called 'Marry You', which he says addresses his feelings about when he and Jordin may tie the knot.

"'Marry You' is definitely Jordin's favourite song," he explained. "People ask all the time, 'When are you getting married?'.

"When that day comes, the right time, it'll be the best day of my life," Jason continued. "Everything has to be aligned perfectly.

"I'm not putting pressure on myself, as in the song I'm singing, 'When I say it, I'm going to mean it and it'll be the best day of my life'," he added.
