David Guetta is the most streamed male artist, while Rihanna is the number one female artist streamed on Spotify this year.
Online music service Spotify has revealed that Gotye's 'Somebody That I Used To Know' is the most streamed song of 2012, closely followed by Carly Rae Jepson's 'Call Me Maybe'.
Gotye's pop ballad has been played an estimated 500 million times this year, and was a number one hit in 25 countries.
David Guetta, whose hits include 'Titanium' and 'She Wolf', beat Flo Rida and Eminem to be named the most streamed male artist. His album 'Nothing But The Beat' was also top of the Most Streamed Album chart.
Rihanna is the most streamed female artist, beating Adele and Nicki Minaj.
British group Coldplay, who recently denied rumours they are taking a three year break from performing, are the most streamed band.
One Direction, who'll be appearing at Capital's Jingle Bell Ball on the 8th December, surpassed 100 million streams altogether for 2012.
