The girl group's much-anticipated new song will debut just after 12pm on Capital.

Girls Aloud's new single 'Something New' will be given its first play on Capital FM today (16th October).

Keep it Capital to hear the girl group's brand new song from 12pm.

The 'Call The Shots' girl band confirmed their reunion after three years last week, and started a ten day countdown to a big announcement for the end of this week.

It is widely expected that Girls Aloud are set to release a new greatest hits album and embark on a UK tour.

Although this has yet to be confirmed, Cheryl Cole reveals details about their plans in her new autobiography Cheryl: My Story, which was released earlier this month.

Earlier this week the group unveiled a video teaser for the song and its accompanying video.

Cheryl Cole, Nadine Coyle, Kimberley Walsh, Nicola Roberts and Sarah Harding are seen dressed in identical bright orange minidresses as they strut away from the camera to a clip of what is expected to be a brand new Girls Aloud song.

As the five girls turn toward the camera the clip suddenly clips away to promise an announcement at the end of this week, which fans will be able to watch live on YouTube.

'Something New' will mark the first single release by Girls Aloud since their 2009 hit 'Untouchable'.
