The 'Call The Shots' singer speaks about the former Oasis man asking the group to play the Teenage Cancer Trust show.

Girls Aloud singer Kimberley Walsh has revealed that Noel Gallagher told her she was his favourite member of the female group.

The 'Love Machine' singer spoke to The Sun about being approached to perform at the Teenage Cancer Trust shows - which the former Oasis man is putting together this year.

"Yeah, he called me up out of the blue. It’s great that he's involved and is arranging it," she told the publication. "It was exciting to speak to him. I was like, 'Really?' He said I was his favourite [Girls Aloud member] and Sarah wasn’t very happy about that."

The girl-group were forced to decline the offer due to touring commitments for their forthcoming arena outing.

"The Girls Aloud tour is around the same time so we couldn't make it work," she stated. "I'm gutted that we can't do it."

Acts already confirmed to perform at the Teenage Cancer Trust shows include Rizzle Kicks, Labrinth and Paul Weller.

Girls Aloud kick off their tenth anniversary reunion tour on 21st February at Newcastle Arena.
