Fun., Adele And Gotye Win Big At Grammy Awards 2013

11 February 2013, 05:15

The 'We Are Young' stars were crowned Best New Artist at the ceremony in Los Angeles.

Fun. were among the big winners of the night at the Grammy Awards 2013, picking up a total of two prizes including Best New Artist.

The trio made a comical speech as they pipped British singer Ed Sheeran to the Song Of The Year crown with 'We Are Young' and commented on how old they actually look.

Gotye's 2012 smash 'Somebody That I Used To Know' scooped a total of three awards at the Grammys for Record Of The Year, Best Alternative Music Album with 'Black Mirrors' and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance alongside Kimbra.

Following her huge triumph at the 2012 ceremony, Adele added another Grammy to her collection as she scooped Best Pop Solo Performance for 'Set Fire To The Rain'.

The biggest award on the night went to Mumford & Sons – picking up the Album Of The Year crown for their second record 'Babel'.

The prize was presented to the group from last year's winner Adele.

There were also wins for the likes of Frank Ocean, Rihanna, Beyonce and Taylor Swift.

The country star kicked off the event with a performance of her hit 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together'.

Her close friend Ed Sheeran was next up alongside Sir Elton John for a duet of 'The A Team'.

Justin Timberlake also showcased his new album 'The 20/20 Experience' and there was an emotional performance of Rihanna's new single 'Stay' from the Bajan star.

She was back on stage later in the show alongside Bruno Mars, Sting and Bob Marley's sons Damian and Ziggy for a tribute to the late reggae legend.
