Florence & The Machine: emotional Oscars

Florence And The Machine has talked about her 'emotional' Oscars performance.

The singer, who sang Dido's portion of Best Original Song nominee 'If I Rise' from '127 Hours' told MTV about the songs emotional content.

She said: 'When the song comes, it's a very emotional moment.

'It's the moment where James Franco's character realises what he has to do.

'You know what's going to happen, but you're with him from the very beginning.'

The singer said that she got ready to perform the track by telling herself to 'try and be calm.'

She added that she was 'working on my second album'.
