The 'Say Nothing' star apologises to fans but reveals he has been told to rest by his doctors.

Example has apologised to fans after cancelling some of his upcoming gigs due to injury.

The 'Say Nothing' rapper has injured his foot and been told to rest by doctors, forcing him to pull out of some up coming shows.

Example revealed the news on Twitter, where he also posted a picture showing his left foot in a cast with the message: "This is me all day every day for the next few weeks."

Explaining his reasons for cancelling the shows, Example said: "Have had to cancel a few gigs over the next few weeks. I can barely walk."

"My shows rely on a lot of energy and bouncing around like a lunatic which I can't do at the moment. Doctors have told me to rest," he wrote.

"I wish I could do my shows sat on a throne like Jessie J did but hey- Nobody's Perfect."
