16 January 2012, 12:02

The 'Next To Me' star met Madonna on The Graham Norton Show.

Emeli Sande has admitted she felt nervous when she performed in front of Madonna last week.

The 'Heaven' singer sang for the Queen of Pop on The Graham Norton Show on Friday (13th January), where both singers were guests.

Speaking to Capital FM, the BRITs Critics' Choice winner admitted she was struggling to come to terms with her year so far.

"I met Madonna yesterday, I sang in front of her – it was a very nerve-wracking experience," she said.

"But it was fantastic. It's been a crazy year so far and we're only 11 days in."

Emeli Sande's debut album 'Our Version Of Events' is released on 13th February and includes the single 'Next To Me'.
